The Gardens and the Garden-cabin

The Garden was an ambitious endeavor- especially for the rainy season. I began attacking the cane grass in the Fall...and had covered large areas with tarps and black-plastic sheets to "solarize" the weed-seeds as best as I could and to buy me time...as this venture began as a solo operation. Little by little, more hands arrived, and the use of Suzy and Randy's tractor came in handy to till up the soil. Soon...I could visualize the garden...and I had picked a spot right at the back edge of the garden to plop by cabin down so that the garden was never out of sight (or out of mind). With the expert hands of Tim Rosemeyer and Alan Fraser...we put the cabin up in just a couple rainy weeks...and this garden-fairy now had a home to lay her head...and.... The journey begins.
