Facilities...

We have 5 cabins on the land
The Love Shak- thanks to the help of Ananda, Nicole, Aoka, and Kenneth- is hardly a shak anymore:)
The "Pod"- the roundhouse up at the top of the property right next to the communal kitchen.
The new bakers cabin- Lilikoi cabin, or as Rihanna calls it, the butterfly cabin, because of all of the butterflies around it. It is a tiny little cabin, but has ocean and sunrise view- and a clear roof for star-gazing.
The Farmhouse- for the farm manager.
And the Welcome Cabin at the bottom of the property- where Aja currently resides.
And then we have the tent platforms which Tim built- raised platforms with clear roofing so you can see the stars at night:)

  1. Just thought that I should point out that the facilities are jungle facilities. Don't be thinking it's a hotel- cuz it aint. Most of the structures just have screens, no real windows, and there are lots of geckos and spiders and other bizarre insects- so if you hate bugs- better think twice about coming to Hana. The mosquitos can also be really bad between 4-6pm- especially after a rain, and if there are no winds. Just wanted to make sure everyone was aware- sucks to get there and then find out about the bugs. Other than the bugs, It is paradise.

Oh, bugo schmugo. The bugs are nothing compared to South America or India. But, true- if you are crazy phobic of the bugs- stay on the mainland.
Just wanted to say that I miss my cabin so much. It is almost a culture shock to have full walls, to not hear the sound of rain put me to sleep at night, and GOD to i miss the outdoor showers.
Was thinking about trying to come back sometime this fall for another session if you aren't full. anyone know Rebekahs email again, or if you talk to her can you pass along the message. thanks

  4. Sorry- these comments slipped past me. So, right now we fill up a couple months in advance. It has been increasingly difficult to schedule people in cabins ahead of time - as most of our wwoofers these days extend their stay. This is great thing as it means that we have amazing people here who are love being a part of the ohana- but it makes it difficult to predict openings. So, right now I am basically able to reserve camp-sites ONLY- and then when the next cabin opens up- we move people into cabins based on seniority. We also have 3 new dorms now on the land- photos coming soon- they are simple simple spaces- literally just 3 bedrooms off of the main communal area- but they are out of the elements for those of you who are not keen to camping. So, that is the latest. Hope to see you back here Jess- aloha~
